  China joined the ITER project began in 2003,and undertakes 69%of NbTi superconducting wire(173 tons)and 7.5%of Nb3Sn superconducting wire(35 tons)supply mission.As the only supplier in China,WST(NIN)has developed the key technologies of NbTi and Nb3Sn superconducting wire preparation for ITER project,and built a world-class level of production lines.In this presentation,the recent progress of R&D in China on Low Tc Superconductors(including NbTi,Nb3Sn)and High Tc Superconductor(Bi2212)and the status of their applications in fusion have been reviewed.Based on the ITER project,The LTS industry has been formed in China.The optimized performances of LTS have been obtained over the past few years.By improving the configuration design and optimize the cold working parameters,Bi-2212 wires with uniformly deformed filaments and outstanding performance are achieved.Its hoped that Bi-2212 wires could be used in magnet coil for next fusion reactor.
