Objective To investigate the application value of the contact heat evoked potential (CHEP) for the trigeminal small-fiber dysfunction in patients with diabetes mellitus.And analyse the characteristics of small fiber lesions of diabetes with the combination of sympathetic skin response (SSR).Methods Heat stimuli was delivered to the skin above the eyebrow and the lower perioral with acontact heat stimulator in 50 diabetic patients and 40 normal subjects,SSR was detected too.
