Objective:To analyze and summarizethe clinicalefficacy of laserin treatment ofnevus of ota. Methods:The adjustable Q-Nd: YAG laser was uesed in the treatment, with 1064nm wavelength,2 ~ 6mm flare diameter, 1 ~ 6Hz pulse frequency, 6-9J/cm2 energy density, and adjusted to proper treatment parameters according to the patients skin color, age, skin lesions, treatmentconditions and treatment frequencies.Cleaning the face and standard photograph archived preoperatively. The skin of lesion was regularly sterilized with 1‰ Bromogeramine. For patients with large lesion range, pain sensitive or mental tension, 5% lidocaine cream can be applied to do surface anesthesia 30-60min and noticing to protect patients and the performers eyes in treatment process.Initial treatment started from low energy density (6J/cm2), and adjust the energy of next treatment according to the treatment effect, residual lesions colour and depth. In treatment, the laser handle vertically alignmented to lesions and irradiated point-by-point to made the laser beam irradiated in the lesion area evenly. The standard was white spotes appeared and a small amount of bleeding. With 3 ~ 9 times of treatmen and the interval of each treatment is 2-3 months. The wound iced immediately after treatment within 15 ~ 20min ,and erythromycin ointment outside used for 3-6 days, and maintaining the treatment area clean , dry, sun protected.Avoiding to eat spicy foods and strip crusts forcibly.Results:216 patients laser treatmented 3-9 times, 203 cases healed, accounting for 93.98%; The remaining 13 patients achieved significant effect, accounting for 6.02%.Conclusion :the effect of using adjustable Q-Nd: YAG laser with 1064nm wavelength in treatment of nevus of ota is distinct, and no complications ,such as infection, scar and atrophy. It is an effective and ideal high safe treatment for nevus of ota.
