The loss of global biodiversity is one of the most pressing ecological concerns facing mankind today.The orchidaceae is regarded as one of the most highly evolved and speciesrich families of all flowering plants,but many species are under severe threat of extinction.Accordingly,more accurate data on the composition and diversity of the orchid family are required.
