　　Background: DSS1 is a small acidic protein that regulates the functional integrity of multiple protein complexes involved in diverse biological pathways, and it was shown to associate with integrator complex.DSS1 and PCID2 as a component of protein complexes TREX-2 play an important role in mRNA export.DSS1, as part of the RP has been shown to stabilize PCID2.
