资料显示廉州湾水下浅滩总体向湾外缓慢推进,但潮流深槽水深基本维持不变.为研究自然状态下潮流深槽维持其现有状态的动力学机制,基于ECOM (Estuarine and Coastal Ocean Model)模式建立了廉州湾数值模型.结果表明:南流江河口处存在一个逆时针环流,使得南流江的水沙主要向西输运,同时有一沿岸流自东北方向途经深槽而后转向西北流出湾外,使得淡水携带的泥沙不易在深槽附近发生堆积;

资料显示廉州湾水下浅滩总体向湾外缓慢推进,但潮流深槽水深基本维持不变.为研究自然状态下潮流深槽维持其现有状态的动力学机制,基于ECOM (Estuarine and Coastal Ocean Model)模式建立了廉州湾数值模型.结果表明:南流江河口处存在一个逆时针环流,使得南流江的水沙主要向西输运,同时有一沿岸流自东北方向途经深槽而后转向西北流出湾外,使得淡水携带的泥沙不易在深槽附近发生堆积;利用CART(Constituent-oriented Age and Residence time Theory)理论计算淡水从南流江的口门处向西离开廉州湾的时间约为10 天左右,而输运到冠头岭则需要45 天以上,淡水携带的大部分泥沙已经沉降,并且质点追踪结果显示南流江所携带的泥沙大部分沿廉州湾的西部及西南部流出湾外;潮流深槽的潮周期最大剪切应力远远大于深槽周围区域,使其在自然状态下每年以0.2～0.4cm 的速度冲刷,有利于深槽的维持.
