Geochemical study on heavy metal contamination developed in bed sediments of the Lowermost Xiangjian

  Geochemistry of heavy-metal contaminated bed-sediments of the lowermost Xiangjiang River(China)was studied,and concentrations of major and trace elements including heavy metals of 378 sediment samples were analysed using XRF and ICP-MS techniques.The results show that heavy-metal contamination of different degree of the sediments have different chemical composition,and indices that can indicate the heavy-metal contamination could be established using the element geochemical data.
