Marine bacteria can live with algae and invertebrates in a symbiotic, commensal, parasitic or epibiotic manner and in a relationship of mutualism or reciprocal inhibition.Bacteria play an important role in their hosts growth and decay, especially during algal bloom and decline. In this paper, we analyzed bacterial diversity in the phycosphere of Enteromorpha prolifera under normal or decaying conditions using 16S rRNA gene sequencing and real-time PCR.The purpose of this work is to provide a basis for further investigation of the influence of bacteria on the boom and decline of Enteromorpha prolifera.
