　　Droplet based microfluidics have shown significant impact on the field of biological and chemical study 1-4.Droplet splitting, as one of the major approaches for droplet manipulations, has attracted tremendous attention 5-8.In this paper, we propose one novel method for droplet splitting via utilization of the sudden expansion geometry with microchannels.
