　　Introduction: Crocin is as one of the ingredients of saffron,and its administration can decrease thermal hyperalgesia in the chronic constriction injury(CCI)model of neuropathic pain in the rat.Given the role of cholinergic system in the control of pain,we examined the role of cholinergic muscarinic receptors in the effect of crocin on thermal hyperalgesia in neuropathic pain.
