Fuel cells are clean and green energy conversion devices for power generation,in which platinum is the most commonly used electrocatalyst. The limited nature reserves and high price of Pt,together with the issues of instability and deactivation by CO poisoning and crossover effect, have hindered the large-scale application of fuel cells. Our group have made great efforts to reducing Pt consumption, and searching for non-precious metal or even metal-free electrocatalysts.
