Bathymetry is the study of underwater depth of lake or ocean floors.Bathymetry charts are important for determining depth and characteristics of the seabed which defines the habitat for benthic (bottom-dwelling) organisms, and are fundamental parameters of marine ecosystems.Scientists use high-resolution bathymetry to help determine where fish and other sea life will feed, live, and breed.The use of airborne hyper spectral sensors provides the spatial and spectral resolution necessary to investigate complex coastal environment.Due to non-availability of bathymetry charts , important resources present in the coastal area cant be mapped and identified so to make their usage available, these charts are utterly needed in order to have a proper coastal resources management plans and this will also give marine navigation agencies and other security agencies modified bathymetry charts.
