The Paper introduced the characteristics of the measurement and control needs for the scramjet free-jet experiment.Using PXI and CompactRIO as the main hardware,the scramjet free-jet experiment universal automatic test systems (ATS) based on the virtual instruments technology was build.The ATS was designed facing to the experimentalists who do not have the knowledge of the measurement and test technology.The ATS has many advancing characteristics such as flexible,reliable,easy to use,universal,and can be used as the universal test platform for rocket engine ground test.
