CdIn2S4 nanosheets were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method using polyethylene glycol 800(PEG)as a capping agent,and were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The photocatalytic activity of the sample was evaluated in the simultaneous photocatalytic degradation of phenol and reduction of Cr(VI)under stimulated sunlight irradiation.The presence of phenol significantly improved the photocatalytic reduction process of Cr(VI),whereas the presence of Cr(VI)also accelerated the degradation process of phenol.The result was attributed to a synergistic effect between the photocatalytic degradation of phenol and reduction of Cr(VI).
