This study assesses the impact of variations of the raw mix design, with respect to the type and proportions of calcium sulphate, and the effect of the clinkering process on mineral formation in calcium sulphoaluminate clinker.Moreover, the reactivity of the clinker products has been investigated using a multi-method approach.Industrial by-products were used as main raw materials for clinker production.It was possible to replace traditional raw materials, i.e.: bauxite and limestone to high extents or even fully by industrial by-products.One limiting parameter, for the substitution of these materials by industrial by-products, is the required ratio of over in the raw meal and the targeted and content of the clinker.
