The prototype of testing object in this paper is a long span transmission line system of 1000 kV from Shanxi province to Hubei province in China,which is just under construction.As to the characteristic of large wind-induced response,an aeroelastic model of long span transmission line system was tested in a wind tunnel to study its wind response in the laminar flow and turbulence flow.The method of rigidity model and "V" shaped spring is applied to the design of the experiment model where four towers and three spans of lines are included.With the analysis of the experiment result,the dynamic behaviors and wind-induced response of long transmission line system are revealed,and the influences of conductors on the vibration of tower are also discussed.The conclusions of this paper can be used for reference to practical engineering design.
