Plasma facing materials (PFMs) are used as armor materials on the first wall in fusion reactor.Molybdenum is considered as one of the most promising PFMs for the divertor of fusion reactor because of many favorable properties,such as high melting point,high plasma resistance,etc.Plasma spraying technology has a wide scope of engineering applications for the refractory metals coating.Therefore,significant work is concentrate on the research about the fabrication and evaluation of the plasma-sprayed molybdenum coatings as plasma facing materials.In the present work,molybdenum coatings were deposited onto the oxygen-free copper substrates by atmospneric plasma spraying.
