Trehalose promotes Rhodococcus sp.strain YYL colonization in activated sludge under tetrahydrofuran:

　　Few studies have focused on the role of compatible solute in changing microbial community structure in the bioaugrnentation systems.In this study,we investigated the influence of trehalose as a biostimulant on microbial community in THF-treating wastewater bioaugrnentation systems with Rhodococcus sp.YYL.The microbial community changes were studied with perspective of function genes.Soluble di-iron monooxygenases (SDIMO),especially group-5 SDIMOs (i.e.,tetrahydrofuran and propane monooxygenases),play significant role in the initiation of tetrahydrofuran.
