Background, Motivation and Objective Guided waves have always been an important means of non-destructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E), especially in the NDT&E of waveguide structural materials, for the guided wave is more suitable than the traditional bulk waves here. In the waveguide structure, the guided waves have energy flow mainly along the direction of the guiding configuration, so the guided waves can stably propagate longer in waveguide structural materials than bulk waves. Hence, using guided waves make the inspection of a large area of waveguide structural materials possible without moving the excited transducer.
