Understanding the relationship between landscape pattern and water quality in urbanized areas can provide insight into urban water quality management. In this study, self-organizing map (SOM) combined with linear mixed effects model were applied to explore the spatiotemporal patterns of nutrients and their relationship with landscape characteristics in the highly urbanized Beiyun River Watershed based on an investigation of 25 typical river sites during the year 2014-2015.
