Microseisms are small tremors of the Earths surface caused by various natural phenomena: atmospheric processes,cyclones,tsunami,and small displacements in the Earths crust.Microseisms are actually seismic noise that carries information about the source of this noise and the structure of the Earths interior through which the microseisms are transmitted.The main microseisms are low-frequency structures with oscillation periods from 1 sec to 20 sec.They are typically used to locate the microseism source.However,microseisms measured in seismic stations may be used to assess the state of the Earths interior in the region.This is called microseismic sounding.In this study,we consider the problem of microseismic sounding with microseisms excited by deep earthquake foci.A model of a plane seismic wave is constructed,crossing a layered structure from the Earths interior.In this case,the distribution of elastic parameters in the Earths crust can be determined by measuring the displacement field on the surface.
