　　A comparative study on two fatigue assessment methods has been performed in this paper.The analysis theory and method were discussed first and a comparison of their differences and relations were made.For comparison, direct calculations of fatigue life using two methods were performed respectively.At present, many organizations choose S-N curve method for calculation;but with the improvement of fracture mechanics, it will be more popular in the future.
