　　Study design A novel surgical technique for debridement in lumbar tuberculosis was introduced.Objective The objectives were to describe a new method through the lateral approach (XLIF) in combination with minimally invasive percutaneous pedicle screws in the treatment of lumbar tuberculosis in the elderly, and evaluate the clinical efficacy and feasibility following chemotherapy with this method.
