neurodegenerative disease happened in optic nerve is common disease worldwide.Although treatment can decrease the damage to the RGCs, but there are not perfect treatment to prevent apeptosis in RGCs or degeneration of optic nerve.Crystallineβb2 belongs to soluble crystallins and has found expression when retina was injured.Some results showed that crybb2 has some connection with RGCs regeneration and promotion survival function.Based the body of evidence we hypothesize that crybb2 may play a key role in treatment of neurodegenerative disease.
