Composed of two strong face-sheets and a soft core,sandwich structures are popularly used in energy absorptions,especially under dynamic loading.In this study,the energy absorption properties of sandwich plates with metallic foam core under dynamic loading are numerically analyzed,considering the difference of boundary conditions and shapes of plates.that is,part of the flat plate,cylindrical plate or spherical plate.The deformation profile and the energy absorption efficiency are discussed.
