回顾学院于一九九七年推行的医学课程改革,就教学内容,课程架构,学习模式,以至其他课程配套,例如设施提升、教材编写、教师培训、素质监控、课程管理等各方面都作出全面的革新,打破以往以学科部门为本的模式,以跨学科协作为基础,注入九个器官系统单元,从而体现课程的综合性,并以学生为中心提高其学习能力和全面发展,为医学本科教育发展写下重要的一页.本院就新一特的教育改革，全面检讨医学本科现行课程，主导原则是加强学生在生物医学的基础理解及临床实习的训练，并给予他们更大的空间，创造更多元化及体验型的学习机会，将以学生为中心的教学理念推到另一个层次。综上分析，二零一二年的课程改革将为医学教育提供强化创新的机会。改革后的课程将更注重“果效为本”的学习目标，教学内容、模式及考核方式均相互配合，相辅相成。整项改革重新检视及体现“明德至善，慎思明辨，学有所依，学有所用”的高教宗旨，并将医学教育领域带进新纪元。
