In this paper, four chiral compounds were selected to resolve tetrahedral cage [Fe4L6]4-.In methanol solution, [Fe4L6]4-can be partially resolved by L-1-hydroxymethyl-3-methylbutyl (trimethyl)-ammonium iodide,N-benzylcinchoninium, chiral [Ru(phen)3](PF6)2 (phen =1,10-phenanthroline) and chiral BINOL, while in methanol-water solution, [Fe4L6]4-can be successfully resolved by BINOL.The absolute configurations of the resolved enantiomers were determined according to their ECD spectra.
