　　Scoring functions are dispensable for the success of protein-protein docking methods.They need to be evaluated on some high-quality benchmarks to recognize their strength and weakness.Current benchmarks for evaluating protein-protein docking protocols have certain limitations for this purpose.We thus aimed at establishing a new refined benchmark particularly for evaluating protein-protein scoring functions.
