长江口是径流、潮流都十分强烈的河口;同时,径流平均每年挟带约五亿吨泥沙进入河口.径流、潮流和泥沙,是形成长江口特性的主要因素列如表1.
At the same time, the runoff entrains about 500 million tons of sediment into the estuary every year on an average. Runoff, tidal current and sediment are the main factors that form the characteristics of the Yangtze Estuary (Table 1).
