Objectives: The maxilla is usually positioned during orthognathic surgery using surgical splints, Because of the mobility of the mandible, they have many limitations. In this study we present a kind of computer-aided design and manufacture (CAD/CAM) bone-born templates to guide the osteotomy and the repositioning of the maxilla. The feasibility and validity of this technique was illustrated.
