A new class of pincer ligands that have a unique disubstituted phosphinoamino (NH-PR2) arm is introduced.We rationalized that the replacement of the CH2 group with an NH spacer may favor the deproronation/ dearomatization of the pincer ligand and offer extra stability towards oxygen and water.
