We have considered consecutively all the stages of signal propagation in an analog fiber-optical link with direct intensity modulation and direct detection of photocurrent output of the fiber.It has been shown that the frequency chirping of laser radiation and the group velocity dispersion of electromagnetic waves in the optical fiber make a significant impact on the signal transmission.
