Background:The core promoter(CP) of hepatitis B virus(HBV) plays a central role in viral replication and morphogenesis.The aim of this study was to characterize CP deletion(Del)/insertion(Ins) mutations in hepatitis e antigen(HBeAg)-positive chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients before and during nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy,which is still pooly studied.
