Blood pressure (BP)is a key determinant of both macrovascular and microvascular outcomes in people with diabetes.Pharmacotherapeutic BP lowering is widely used for the amelioration of these risks in this large patient population, and aggressive BP control in people with diabetes has been advocated for many years.More recently, however, certain clinical guidelines have controversially relaxed BP targets for people with type 2 diabetes.
