　　Background Human cytomegalovirus(HCMV)usually establishes lifelong infection in the host as a latent form after primary infection.HCMV AD169 strain could not establish latent infection in CD34+cells and CD14+cells because of lacking the ULb' region,which suggested ULb' region might play a crucial role in the establishment of latent infection.
