Seed development is key important to yield and quality formation in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.), but the underlined mechanism of embryo development is barely known.Employing embryos treated with deficient/abundant calcim in soil as materials, which tend to produce sterile (empty-pods) and fertile (full-pod) embryos, respectively, we have been investigating early embryo development morphologically and in functional genomics.
