Recently in China, the tendency of services concentration in urban has been obvious and generated economic effects.Therefore ,the thesis tends to make an empirical analysis on the relationship between urban services spatial concentration and its effect on services productivity.The model in the study will be set on the basis of Ciccones economic density and productivity model as well as Cobb-Douglas production function to test the relationship between urban services spatial concentration and its productivity in China.Selecting 150 cities(including capital cities) from 31 provinces of China as sample, using data of 2009 from China Statistical Yearbook for a cross-sectional analysis, the study found that urban services spatial concentration has significant positive impact on promoting urban services productivity.Nevertheless, the capital-labor ratio also has significantly promoted urban services productivity.
