Seeing is believing. Imaging techniques play key roles in exploring the nano-world. Here I will show you our efforts on imaging of carbon nanotubes, including low-voltage SEM imaging of carbon nanotubes with the contrast coming from conductivity and bandgap[1,2], water vapor condensation assisted imaging of carbon nanotubes under an optical microscope[3], and real-time true-color imaging of carbon nanotubes via enhanced Rayleigh scattering which facilitates high throughput chirality assignment of individual carbon nanotubes [4, 5].
