The purpose was to study mechanisms of heavy metals accumulation in the liver of West Sibirias cattle.The liver to examine was taken from 30 Black-and-White bull-calves of West Siberia,aged 18 months.In Analytical Geochemistry Laboratory of Joint Institute of Geology,Geophysics and Mineralogy of SB RAS,mean populational levels of Pb,Cd,Cu,Zn,Fe and correlations of these metals were determined with the method of atomic emission spectrometry with inductively associated plasma.The levels of heavy metals(mg/kg)in the liver were equal to: Pb — 0.391; Cd — 0.020; Fe —68.5; Zn — 33.8; Cu —9.00.Phenotypic variability was higher for Pb(Cv=67.1%)and Cu(Cv=64.0%).Higher coefficients of correlation were established between Cd and Cu(r=0.659); Cd and Sr(r=-0.455); Zn and Sr(r=0.513); Pb and Zn(r=0.454); Pb and Sr(0.467).Correlations were revealed between the concentrations of Cu and K in hair with the level of Pb in the liver(r=0.41±0.16; r=0.81±0.06,respectively).The levels of Cu and K in hair can be used like markers of intravital evaluation accumulation of Pb in cattles liver.Thus,mean populational values of heavy metals in the Black-and-White cattles liver were established and they can be used for interior characteristics in veterinary medicine and ecology.
