High temperature co-electrolysis(HTCE)driven by nuclear energy, which is the highly efficient electrolysis of CO2 and H2O for synthetic fuels production at high temperature, and utilizes the heat and electrical power supplied simultaneously by advanced nuclear reactors, typically like high temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactor(HTGR,the outlet temperature 750℃-1000℃),provides a very promising way to enable the nuclear plants to store energy, and to operate in a load-following mode.
