@@ It has been often pointed out that sentences like (1) is ambiguous between intersective and non-intersective reading. The former says that Olga is beautiful, i.e. beautiful applies to Olga, and the latter says that Olga’s dancing is beautiful, i.e. beautiful applies to Olga’s dancing. Larson (1998) proposes an interesting analysis that treats adjectives are not ambiguous and the ambiguity comes from the noun; whether the adjective applies to an individual as in (2a) or an event as in (2b).
