Etoposide is a semi-synthetic podophyllotoxin derived from the root of Podophyllum peltatum.It is used in the treatment of a variety of tumors including small cell lung cancer, testicular cancer, lymphomas and leukemias.Etoposide is one of the drugs in chemotherapy used against metastatic tumors [1].
