Background and objective Endobronchial ultrasound-guidedtransbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) has emerged as a minimally invasive technique used for diagnosing intrathoracic malignancies as well as some benignancies (sarcoidosis and tuberculosis), however, there are no data available on the safety and efficacy of EBUS-TBNA for the diagnosis of non-special inflammatory intrathoracic lymphadenopathy.
