Objective: The purpose of this research is to develop an informatics platform for maxillofacial trauma data storage,analysis and mining.It may serve as a key resource of maxillofacial trauma diagnosis, treatment and research.Methods: The platform has been developed based on standard data formats.With XML and an open set of application programming interfaces,data types including text ,DICOM data and other complicate data can be stored in a systematic route.Besides,relative external software used in digital design can be integrated with this platform.
