Objective:Analysis of the poor results of posterior operative approach for the treatment of spondylotic cervical myelopathy.Method:16 cases who underwent posterior laminoplasties in treatment of multi-level spondylotic cervical myelopathy.Result:Among 16 cases,4 cases were misdiagnosing,3 cases accompanied with myelopath (myelomalacia or atrophy of spinal cord),3 cases failed in position and decomposition,2 cases got injured at spinal cord,1 case mistaken in choice of operative approach.Conclusion:Indication of posterior approach for spondylotic cervical myelopathy; myelomalacia or atrophy of spinal cord,no completely decompression,intraoperative spinal cord injury would effect the operation results of multi-level spondylotic cervical myelopathy.
