Different extraction methods are used to determination of contaminants in food samples.Matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) has been proven to be a good alternative to solid phase extraction(SPE) of phthalic acid esters and other organic pollutant because of its simplicity. In this text, A method based on matrix solid-phase dispersion and gas chromatography (GC)/mass spectrometry(MS) to determine dimethyl phthalate(DMP),diethyl phthalate(DEP), di-n-butyl phthalate(DBP) , butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP)and di-2-ethylhed exyl phthalate(DEHP) in vegetables was described. The method , which required Florisil as dispersant sorbent, graphitizand carbon black as purificant and ethyl acetate as eluting solvent, was simple, fast and suit for preparations of numbers of samples. The result showed that linear response over five phthalic acid esters was good from 0.01 to 10mg/kg, recoveries of spiked samples ranged from 76% to 90% and relative standard deviations were from 2% to 7%.The limits of detection for the method were from 0.01 to 0.024 mg/kg.
