Compared with bioethanol and biodiesel, biobutanol have higher energy density, lower saturated vapor pressure, better economical efficency, less corrosive and other advantages which make it be another welcome advanced biofuel in the world.In this work, based on the Web of Science and Derwent Innovation Index, literature and patents was analysed to map the global trends of biobutanol research and development.
