Strain cmg86, a Gram positive, motile and fluoroglycofen biodegradation bacterium was isolated from domestic wastewater.Spherical endospres were formed terminally in swollen rods.Cells were characterized by the presence of iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C17:0 and iso-Cω10c as the predominant cellular fatty acids and MK-7 and MK-6(H2) as the isoprenoid quinone system. The major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol, the cell-wall peptidoglycan was type A4α, L-Lys-D-Asp.The closest phylogenetic relatives were Lysinibacillus meyeri DSM 25057T (97.74% 16S rRNA gene sequences similarity) and Lysinibacillus odysseyi KCTC 3961r (96.62%).On the basis of the data presented, strain cmg86 represents a novel species of the genus Lysinibacillus, for which the name Lysinibacillus fluorenilyticus sp.nov.is proposed.
