Background: The gastric GISTs represent approximately 70%of all gastrointestinal GISTs.With evolving multimodality approach for management of GIST,surgical resection remains the mainstay of treatment.Laparoscopic surgery is considered a good option,since the biological behavior of these tumors allows for curative resection without the necessity for large margins or extensive lymphadenectomies.
