Starting from describing the characteristics,working principle and manners of wireless optical ultraviolet(UV)communication,this paper analyzes the problems which may occur when ultraviolet light is transmitted in atmosphere channel,and the difficulties of its establishing communication system.And in the last part,its military application is discussed.
